Brumidi Group Welcomes Marc Berejka as Senior Advisor

September 24, 2024 — Brumidi Group announced today that Marc Berejka will join the team as a Senior Advisor.  In this role, he will advise clients in the crafting and execution of policy initiatives.  Leveraging a career of practical experience, he joins Brumidi Group in guiding clients on policy innovation, narrative development, coalition building, philanthropic support, and critical relationship management.  

Managing Partner Charles Cooper said, “Marc has been a leader in the outdoor recreation industry and non-profit space for more than a decade.  Since joining the sector, most major initiatives focused on the outdoors include Marc’s fingerprints.  Similarly, he has also been a strategic contributor to tech policy.  His expertise will be invaluable for Brumidi’s clients, and his work neatly fits into our commitment to The Art of Impact.” 

Marc started his career as a telecommunications attorney in D.C.  As the Internet and connectivity became ubiquitous, he shifted to tech advocacy.  Through the 2000s and early Obama Administration — while at Microsoft and the U.S. Commerce Department — Marc played leading roles on policies that have shaped broadband, wireless, online contracting, data privacy and security, and more.  After public service, he returned to the Pacific Northwest and joined REI Co-op, where he oversaw the growth and strategy of the co-op’s governmental, nonprofit, and philanthropic engagement.  He has provided thought-leadership and supported allies on the rec economy narrative, the role states can play in advancing the outdoors, the connection between time outside and our wellbeing, and the feasibility of pursuing many of these goals in a bipartisan way.
