Sustainability Report | November 2nd, 2023

In this week's report, we deep dive into the importance of addressing food waste, especially as a very important area of concern related to the climate crisis. There are several ongoing efforts to tackle food waste, especially through the advancement of the Food Date Labeling Act, which would simplify and standardize food labels into two categories. It’s estimated that this standardization would prevent 528,000 tons of food from going to the landfill in the US reducing 2.73 million metric tons of CO2.

Furthermore, there are several engagement opportunities from federal agencies - including applications for the Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program, which is an energy investment tax credit program for qualified solar or wind facilities in underserved communities or Tribal lands.
