Regulating Artificial Intelligence

Last week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) publicly kicked off his efforts to develop a comprehensive policy framework for the regulation of artificial intelligence technologies. As official legislation is developed, Majority Leader Schumer has emphasized his focus on advancing discussions with strong stakeholder input and bipartisan support. While policymakers have been increasingly focused on artificial intelligence over the past several years, this latest activity could signify the most comprehensive effort to regulate AI to date.
