Check out the latest Brumidi Group Outdoor Report! The EXPLORE Act passed the House Natural Resources Committee this week. Given the strong bipartisan, bicameral support for an outdoor recreation legislative package, the bill is well-positioned to pass this year. Separately, the Department of the Interior announced $138 million in dedicated funding for protecting communities from wildfire risks.

Furthermore, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont announced the creation of a new Office of Outdoor Industry & Experiences, making Connecticut the 21st state to create an office specially dedicated to outdoor recreation. Lastly, the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable has released their second rural economic development toolkit, and they will be convening a webinar about the new resource on Wednesday next week.
