Outdoor Report | August 31st, 2023

It's been a busy two weeks for outdoor recreation policy. Today, the Bureau of Land Management released its highly anticipated Blueprint for 21st Century Outdoor Recreation, providing a strategic path forward for recreation on BLM-managed lands. Furthermore, the National Park Service celebrated record-breaking visitor spending in communities near national parks, as well as their 107th anniversary. Furthermore, the Rural Investment Act was recently introduced to boost rural economies through greater investment in outdoor recreation. Lastly, a delegation of members from the House Natural Resources Committee recently visited Hawaii to meet with officials on the recent wildfires.
