Cyber Report | March 8th, 2024

There were a number of notable developments related to cybersecurity this week in DC. Congress is working through FY24 appropriations, with the first minibus (which is set to be enacted today) including critical funding for cyber and AI programs across various federal agencies. Furthermore, there was committee-level action for several important bills that would impact a range of tech-related initiatives including FISMA modernization, a potential ban of TikTok, and security enhancements for AI in the federal government.

The NSA also released two reports - one focused on cloud security and another focused on zero trust implementation for national security systems. Lastly, the state of Washington became the latest state government to enact legislation that would create a dedicated task force on artificial intelligence.

Check it all out and more in this week's Brumidi Group Cyber Report!
