Cyber Report | March 15th, 2024

There were a number of notable developments related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence this week in DC. On Monday, the White House sent the President's FY25 Budget Request to Congress, officially kickstarting the process for FY25 appropriations and requesting substantial funding for key cyber and AI initiatives. Furthermore, the administration also released their software self-attestation form, which will be of consequence to entities doing business with the federal government - as will the final rule on the DIB Cyber Program that was also released this week.

Furthermore, NIST announced that they will be launching a new Manufacturing USA Institute focused on AI, while the Intelligence Community published their 2024 Threat Analysis. Lastly, the House moved forward on legislation that will govern data protections from foreign opponents.
