Cyber Report: June 16th, 2023

There was an array of activity on cybersecurity and technology this week. The SEC has announced that they are going to delay their controversial rule on cybersecurity incident reporting, while also stating that they are going to amend the rule to better align with cyber risk management practices.

Furthermore, the House Armed Services Cyber Subcommittee advanced their portion of the FY24 NDAA, CISA published a joint advisory on ransomware, and OMB updated their timelines for software self-attestation. Also notably, Senators Blumenthal and Hawley unveiled their long-anticipated liability legislation for artificial intelligence companies.
