Cyber Report: July 14th, 2023

This week, the White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) unveiled their highly anticipated National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan, setting a course for over 65 initiatives that will make up the bulk of the administration's cyber efforts over the next year. The implementation plan was well-received by policymakers on both sides of the aisle, but Republican cyber leaders emphasized that they will be conducting oversight to ensure regulatory streamlining and harmonization. In tandem, ONCD has announced that they are planning to release a request for industry input on how to accomplish this regulatory efficiency.

Additionally, the House passed their NDAA by party lines with a vote of 219-210. Furthermore, House and Senate cyber leaders unveiled bipartisan, bicameral legislation updating the Federal Information Security Modernization Act. Lastly, CISA has announced a request for partners as part of their CyberSentry program.
