There were a number of notable developments related to AI and cybersecurity, this week in DC, even with Congress on recess. President Biden signed an executive order seeking to enhance maritime and port cybersecurity, which was met with positive support from Republican Homeland Security Committee and Subcommittee leaders.

Furthermore, the FCC is planning to vote on its forthcoming voluntary IoT labeling program in mid-March, while NIST announced that the 2.0 version of its Cybersecurity Framework should be expected Monday next week.

Separately, NIST provided updated guidance on standards for consumer-grade router products. Meanwhile, the EPA and CISA partnered to release cyber guidance for wastewater and water sector entities.
