As the 2024 election quickly approaches, there is a growing number of incumbent members of Congress who are starting to announce that they will not be returning to their seats. Members are either leaving public office altogether, running for other elected positions, or resigning from Congress before completing their terms.
As of August 16th, there are 15 current members of the House of Representatives and 6 current members of the Senate that are not set to return for the 119th Congress.
