BG Week in Review: June 12th - 16th

This week, the House Ways & Means Committee officially kicked off the tax debate of the 118th Congress, passing a trio of legislation seeking to provide tax relief to families and small businesses while also eliminating energy tax provisions from the Inflation Reduction Act.

Furthermore, in a bipartisan move, Banking Committee Chairman Brown and Ranking Member Scott released the RECOUP Act, legislation that would address executive compensation prior to a bank's failure. Finally, the House Appropriations Committee passed their first spending measure - the Agriculture-Rural Development bill - out of committee by a party-line vote of 34-27.

Check it all out in this week's BG3!
