BG Week in Review: July 17th - 21st

This week, the House of Representatives passed legislation that would reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for five years – the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act – by a bipartisan vote of 351-69, and the bill now proceeds to the Senate for consideration prior to FAA expiration on September 30th. Separately, Israeli President Isaac Herzog addressed a joint session of Congress (with several progressive Democrats protesting), during which he warned of rising threats from Iran. Lastly, Congress is continuing to wrestle with the FY24 NDAA, with uncertainty surrounding successfully passing the defense policy package in a Congress with such narrow majorities.
