The Department of Labor unveiled positive economic news this week with an announcement that the U.S. economy added 303,000 jobs in the month of March. Separately, as the House returns to DC next week after the recess, House Republicans will be convening a vote to approve a new chair of the Appropriations Committee with current Chairwoman Kay Granger (R-TX) stepping down from the position. Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) is the likely candidate to win the position.

Lastly, impeachment articles against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will be delivered to the Senate next week.
