ERIC GEDSTAD

Eric Gedstad is a Senior Advisor at Brumidi Group and is responsible for strategic communications, messaging, and brand-elevation services.

Eric helps clients navigate today’s fast-changing, AI-influenced, multichannel communications landscape. He can assess and optimize existing communications assets; develop media tactics and craft impactful messages that deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time. 

​

Eric was previously the Director of Marketing and Director of Communications for the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing), a mission driven, quasi-public lender that finances affordable home mortgage loans and multifamily housing construction and preservation.

Eric has held numerous communications roles in government and in political campaigns, including Communications Director for the Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development and the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism; Speechwriter for former Massachusetts Governor William F. Weld; Senior Government Affairs Analyst at MassHousing; Press Secretary for the Massachusetts House Minority Leader; Deputy Press Secretary for a U.S. Senate Campaign; Press Secretary for a campaign for Massachusetts Secretary of State; and Research Analyst in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Eric’s communications and marketing teams have won numerous awards from the Public Relations Society of America, National Council of State Housing Agencies and New England Publicity Club.

Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Boston University’s College of Communications.
